What websites link back to yours

The question of what websites link back to yours comes up in the context of search engine optimisation (SEO).

This is because backlinks (these links from other people's sites to yours) is one of the holy grails of SEO. The more quality links you have from relevant sites, the better. And it can be hard work.

But what if you've changed the name of your business, your phone number or moved offices?

How do you find out what websites your business is listed on, so you can check they have the right details?

Open Site Explorer from SEOMoz which will give you 1,000 links without registering.

ahrefs.com will give you a limited number of searches for free, which should be fine if you are just checking your own site.

Once you have a list of links, you can decide which ones are worth worrying about.
